About East Harbor

Brooklyn’s grand Cantonese banquet house

For years, East Harbor Seafood Palace — 迎賓大酒樓 — has been an 8th-Avenue-Chinatown institution: a gold-accented hall big enough for everything from a two-person cheung-fun breakfast to a 600-seat wedding banquet.

The name 迎賓 means “welcome the honored guest,” and that is the whole idea — rolling carts of dim sum from 9am, tanks of live lobster and king crab, roast Peking duck, and a room that has hosted a generation of Sunset Park’s weddings and celebrations.

A note on the name: like many Chinatown banquet halls, the English name (East Harbor Seafood Palace) and the Chinese name (迎賓大酒樓) are unrelated — if you found us under either, you are in the right place.

迎賓 — Welcome the honored guest.
